I've been tuned-in to the energy of space since I was a young kid. My earliest memories include room details- furnishings, colors, and energetics- how I felt in a space based on its history, the love and care put into it, and the people tending to it. I find this awareness is a "muscle we flex", available to anyone.

I love the process of getting to know our clients, efficiently overseeing their projects, and creating a home that reflects how they live and what they love.
When working with clients, I will inform the core of the design from the clients’ personal style, preferences and lifestyle. It’s important to learn about the client- what industry they work in, what they do for fun, do they have children, etc. Designing a home is very personal, and we take every detail into consideration. This is something that is felt and can be observed in our finished projects where we bring client’s dreams to reality.

I am endlessly inspired by nature- there’s not much better for my creative soul than getting out on a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or driving to the coast- noticing how the native coastal plants dance in the breeze. In contrast, I find the art of life in a city to be equally inspiring. The way people live closely in a dance among beautiful architecture rich with history is a beautiful thing.
Some of my current favorite cities to draw inspiration from are Utrecht (Netherlands) and Mexico City. Here in Western North Carolina we are blessed to be surrounded by amazing artists and craftspeople. I love visiting local galleries, the Asheville Art Museum and creating relationships with Asheville-area artists.

Our home is nestled in a holler amongst the world's oldest mountain range in native Cherokee territory. We have a garden, chickens and tend to the wild plants on our land.
We welcomed our daughter Hazel Penelope to our family in 2018 and almost can't wrap our heads around how much joy she brings to our life. We love seeking out swimming holes, yummy food and good live music as a family.
